Holiday substitute in the summer of 2025

We are seeking holiday workers for the summer of 2025 (weeks 25 – 33) in 80 – 100 % positions.

We are looking for committed holiday workers who will become part of our team in the summer of 2025. With us, you will have a varied, educational and meaningful working day in an exciting and professionally strong environment, where no two days are the same. In the summer, there is a collaboration between medical and surgical inpatient units, and both departments are together on the same floor. In the position, you will have the opportunity to work at both surgical and medical inpatient units. With us, you will gain broad expertise and good experience in the treatment of medical and surgical patients.

The surgical ward is a department with patient groups within orthopedics and gynecology. The ward treats patients with acute conditions and planned surgical treatments. 

Medical ward is a general internal medicine department that receives and treats patients within various fields such as pulmonary, gastro, cardiac, palliative, stroke and geriatrics. 

We have a three-part shift, with work during the day, evening and night (nurses).

Work assignments

  • Holistic nursing care and ensuring good documentation
  • Active participation in interdisciplinary collaboration to ensure holistic and coordinated treatment
  • Coordinate discharges and collaborate closely with the municipal health service
  • Supervise nursing students and contribute to their professional development

Qualifications

  • Nurse, nursing student, health worker, medical student complete 4th year (have a pharmacology degree)
  • Good computer skills
  • Must have a high level of Norwegian, both written and spoken.

We offer

  • 80 – 100% position
  • Recruitment measures at inpatient units: Nurses who enter into an agreement to work a minimum of 6 weeks in 80 – 100 % positions, and who have worked this, can be paid a one-time sum for nurses currently NOK 20,000, and nursing students who have completed their 2nd year NOK 14,000.
  • Nursing students in their 2nd and 3rd year of study who enter into an agreement for holiday substitute work for the summer of 2025 (nursing student) and summer of 2026 (newly qualified nurse), and in addition an agreement to work at least every 3rd weekend in their 3rd year of study, may receive an additional compensation of NOK 30,000, which is paid as a lump sum. The length of the holiday substitute work must be a minimum of 6 weeks, and 80 – 100 % positions must be worked in the same unit as the student. Additional compensation for the summer of 2025 (point above) is added.
