Søyland

A close to nature and child-friendly neighborhood with Søylandsheia as the nearest neighbour. There are countless hiking trails, mountain peaks and bathing spots here. You can play Frisbee golf in the summer and go skiing in the winter in the light trail.

Kråketona/Drangeid

A quiet and child-friendly neighborhood just outside the center of Flekkefjord. Here you live close to the popular bathing waters of Selura with countless bathing spots for the enjoyment of both young and old throughout the summer.

Sira

Farthest west in Flekkefjord municipality is the idyllic station village of Sira, surrounded by mountains, a river and the long Sirdalsvatnet. Here it is a short distance to playgrounds, mountain peaks, the convenience store, swimming areas, school, kindergarten, farm life and the train station.

Hydra

At the far end of the sea gap in Flekkefjord municipality is the island pearl Hidra with its unique and magnificent coastal landscape. In the two outports Rasvåg and Kirkehamn you will find white-painted wooden buildings, convenience stores and a restaurant on the pier. In the middle of the island is a nursery school and a primary school, and it is always a short distance to a mountain peak with a view or a place to stick "tea in tanga".

Gyland

In the north of Flekkefjord municipality is Gyland with its deep forests and towering mountains. Here you live close to untouched nature, but the train station and a short drive to the center of Flekkefjord, Kvinesdal and Sirdal make it easy to commute to work. Kindergarten, primary school and grocery store can be found in the center of the village.

Lund & Moi

The pleasant municipality of Lund, with its 3,247 inhabitants, is beautifully located in Rogaland, and is a wonderful place for those who enjoy good nature experiences. The municipality and the town of Moi are located between Stavanger and Kristiansand and both the E39 and Sørlandsbanen pass through the area.

The largest part of the population in the municipality lives in Moi, which has a primary and secondary school, nursery school, church and sports facilities for indoor and outdoor activities. Hovsherad and Heskestad have primary schools and nurseries, sports facilities and shops. Here you also have easy access to wonderful nature experiences all year round. If you like skiing, Sætra is a few minutes away with good snow conditions when the temperature permits. Here, a 2.5 km illuminated track is run up for classic and free technique. On good days, longer trails are also run through beautiful hiking terrain towards Sandstøl. Moi IL is responsible for the trail preparation. It is also not far to the nearest ski slope, Bjørnestad ski centre, which is around half an hour's drive from Moi.

Industry is the most important industry in Lund with 33 per cent of jobs in the municipality, 39 per cent including construction and construction activities and power and water supply/renovation (2016). The timber and wood products industry is a dominant industry with 92 per cent of the industry's employment.
