Flekkefjord hospital is one of three hospitals in Sørlandet hospital HF, we have approx. 40,000 inhabitants in the catchment area and are the local hospital for the Lister region - as well as Lund and Sokndal municipalities.

The hospital consists of a medical and surgical department (surgery, orthopedics, gynaecology, maternity/maternity and anaesthesia). We treat both elective and emergency patients, offer dental treatment under anesthesia for those patients who need treatment and currently have the trauma function on hiatus until 2024.

We have a good professional environment with a focus on patient safety and quality in treatment. Here, we work well in a network with other hospitals that provide the opportunity for hospitalization for professional replenishment.

We are looking for you as a nurse anesthetist for a 100 % permanent position with us.

For the position, work currently applies in a 3-part rotation with work at every 3rd weekend and home care. In addition, work must be expected on 2 extra weekends a year.

The department provides dormitories for house guards.

Work assignments

• Professional responsibility and practicing anesthetic nursing
• Administer anesthesia for operations and dental treatment
• Administer sedation to patients who require it
• Assist with regional anaesthesia
• insertion of venous accesses
• Participant in assessment teams (trauma teams), medical teams, thrombolysis teams, children's teams and emergency teams
• Responsibility for sick newborns at the maternity ward and C-section preparedness 
• Participate in the transfer of critically ill patients to a higher level

Qualifications

• Specially trained nurse in anaesthesia
• You must be fluent in written and spoken Norwegian 
• Have basic ICT competence
• Preferably with experience in medical simulation 
• Desirable with experience and knowledge in the use of ultrasound
• Preferably with experience in venous access (Midline/ Piccline)
