Eilert Sundt upper secondary school has approximately 600 students and 110 employees. The main school is located in Farsund, but the school also has a campus in Lyngdal. The school has the educational programs study specialisation, building and construction engineering, electrical and computer technology, hairdressing, flowers, interior and exposure design, health and upbringing subjects, information technology and media production and technology and industrial subjects. Eilert Sundt vgs. has a high degree of well-being among both students and staff. Our main goal is that all our students finish the school course with the planned competence. 

Eilert Sundt upper secondary school has from 1 August 2024 a vacant 100 % permanent position as head of department for everyday life training and hairdresser, flowers, interior and exposure design. The place of work will be the study center Farsund

Salary according to collective agreement. A police certificate will be required of those who are offered a position in upper secondary school.  

 

 

Work assignments

  • Promoter for educational development work and school development in the department
  • Student, personnel and financial responsibility within their area of responsibility
  • Be part of the school's management group
  • Area of responsibility can be changed in line with the school's needs 

     

Qualifications

  • Must have higher relevant professional and pedagogical education
  • Should have teaching competence in at least one of the subjects at the place of study
  • Experience and competence in educational management
  • Experience from upper secondary education
  • Good ICT skills. Knowledge of school administrative systems is desirable

  • Good ability to collaborate
  • Good ability to communicate with students, parents and staff
  • Be able to make decisions and be independent, structured and goal-oriented in work
  • Personal fitness will be emphasized
