Senior Orthopedic Surgeon

The department for surgical subjects at Klinikk Somatikk Flekkefjord is looking for a skilled and committed orthopedist for a 100% permanent position.

Klinikk somatikk Flekkefjord is organized into a department for surgical subjects (Gynaecology / Obstetrics, Orthopedics, Surgery, bedside post, Anesthesia, Operation, Intensive Care and Surgical Outpatient Clinic) and a department for medical subjects (Medical Bed Post, Emergency Department, Medical Outpatient Clinic).

Work assignments

  • Outpatient clinic, surgery and bedside post
  • Plan and carry out patient-oriented work of a preventive/treating, rehabilitative and palliative nature.
  • Ensure quality and continuity in the business through reporting and documentation in accordance with the department's routines and current regulations.
  • Independent responsibility and authority to take care of the entire senior physician / specialist function.
  • Teaching and guidance responsibility in relation to patients, relatives, colleagues, doctors on duty, students, in-patients and other medical personnel in the department for surgical subjects.
  • Obligation to keep professionally up-to-date within the unit's subject area, work procedures and equipment.
  • Look after and ensure good communication in the department.
  • Contribute to respectful behavior in relation to patients and between employees.
  • Contribute to constructive dialogue in the department with a view to the development of subjects, patient treatment and patient safety.
  • Guard (on-call and home guard) by agreement.

Qualifications

  • Norwegian medical authorization 
  • Specialist in orthopedics, with Norwegian approval
  • Broad experience
  • Must be proficient in Norwegian/Scandinavian in writing and orally
