Unit for health and life management

Within the Department for Health and Life Management, medical services, rehabilitation services, the healthy living center, mental health, and substance abuse services are organized. Among the key initiatives going forward are primary healthcare teams, a health station for adults, Housing First, prevention, and life management. We need more employees who are committed to interdisciplinary collaboration and public health. We require 4 new general practitioners in the coming years and can offer a fixed salary, an 8-2 agreement, or independent business operations.

Unit for nursing homes

In the Nursing Home Department, we have 77 long-term beds and 16 short-term beds, along with 8 care apartments. We are proud of an exciting professional environment, a new medical alarm system, and have been certified as a "Joy of Life" nursing home since 2017. We've chosen to organize parts of our services into dedicated teams to ensure the right expertise is matched with the right tasks. For instance, we've established a team of nurses and social educators who tackle nursing tasks across departments. Additionally, we have specialized night teams, cleaning teams, and health worker teams that work collaboratively. Among our upcoming initiatives is the introduction of an interdisciplinary intervention model. Moving forward, we also plan to establish a dedicated secured unit and expand the number of short-term beds. The Nursing Home Department is in need of nurses, social educators, and health workers who are eager to systematically provide professional care, support, and rehabilitation. We are looking for individuals committed to professional and quality development, aiming to create moments of joy and enhance the quality of life for our residents.

Unit for home services

The unit for home services is responsible for health and care services and practical assistance for home residents. In addition, the unit has two departments with a total of 48 care homes staffed around the clock. The services for home residents are organized into three different teams, a team consisting of nurses and social workers, a health professional team and a team responsible for practical assistance and home care. In a couple of years (2026), the service will be responsible for running a new day care facility to be built in connection with sheltered housing. We provide an increasing number of residents with more advanced help in their own homes, and aim for residents to be able to live at home for as long as possible, despite illness and great need for help. We need safe, competent nurses, social workers and healthcare professionals who have a wide range of skills. In the next few years, the focus areas are observation and assessment skills, palliation, cancer care, nutrition, dementia care and a good general basic skill. We are in search of individuals who enjoy professional challenges and are committed to collaboration, interdisciplinary approaches, comprehensive care, and who are adaptable and open to change in their work life.

Unit for habilitation

The unit for habilitation is responsible for services to people with developmental disabilities. The service provides follow-up both in municipal housing associations and in private homes, as well as through relief and activity offers. In recent years, the municipality has contributed to more young people being given the opportunity to buy their own home, and today we have a common area with a staff base in 4 different condominiums. We are concerned with independence, mastery and participation. Through professional development with a focus on positive behavioral support, prevention of violence and abuse (VIP course) and participation in projects related to human rights for people with developmental disabilities, the service is constantly developing. Over the next few years, large investments will be made in the services, both in the form of a new day and activity center and new child and youth relief. We are a multidisciplinary service with employees with educational, social work and health professional backgrounds. We are seeking individuals who are flexible and open to change, dedicated to fostering self-determination and independence through meaningful everyday activities and community engagement.

Work-study jobs

That's why we offer guidance throughout your studies, a permanent weekend position, and, if we're a good fit, a guaranteed full-time position within the municipality upon completion of your studies. As an apprentice in the health and care sector, you'll receive close mentorship and 50% salary throughout your apprenticeship. If you possess the skills we're looking for, you'll be offered a permanent full-time position after passing your professional exam. We understand that transitioning from school to work can be challenging for many, but you'll have a manager dedicated to supporting you along the way, providing guidance and feedback.
